EU Journalist award against discrimination

The Journalist Award is one of the main activities under the European Commission's “For Diversity. Against Discrimination” information campaign.

The campaign is running in all 27 EU Member States in order to raise awareness of discrimination and the legislation which exists to combat it. The campaign is also to promote the benefits of diversity.

4th European Ministerial Conference on Integration

The Spanish Minister for Labour and Immigration, Celestino Corbacho, warned that “The Crisis should not restrict action on integration of immigrants” at the 4th European Ministerial Conference on Integration held in Zaragoza, Spain.

Celestino Corbacho underlined that integration is a phenomenon which develops through coexistence and adapatation between the immigrants and the host society in different fields.


Commission announced a new EU strategy and presented the third
'Handbook on Integration for policy makers and practitioners'
(3rd edition 2010) at the Zaragoza Ministerial Conference.

Mångfaldspriset 2010
Tycker ni att alla människors är lika värde?
Är ni öppna för mångfald i ert dagliga arbete?

Region Skåne vill uppmuntra förnyelse av verksamheten och lyfta fram nytänkande arbete som förebild och lärande exempel när det gäller mångfald. Priset är 50 000 kr och pengarna ska användas i studiesyfte inom mångfaldsområdet.

Sista dag för nominering är 30 april och priset kommer att delas ut på regionfullmäktiges sammanträde den 29 juni.

Bäst på Integration i Sverige

Fokus har rankat Sveriges(290)kommuner ur ett integrationsperspektiv. Kommuner har rangordnats utifrån sju olika kriterier; andel utlandsfödda, fliktingmottagande, absolut sysselsättning, relativ sysselsättning, absolut ohälsotal, relativa ohälsotal, relativ inkomst.

2. Uppvidinge
3. Salem
4. Vaggeryd
5. Trosa


Den tre storstadskommunerna Stockhölm, Göteborg och Malmö placerade i 2009 någonstans i mitten. Stockholm på 149:e plats, Göteborg på 184:e och Malmö på plats 173.

I årets rankning:
Stockholm-på plats 78:e
Göteborg- på plats 178:e
Malmö- på plats 247:e

Storstäderna klarar sig sämre än de små kommunerna i integrations-rankningen.
